Hi my name is Evelyn.  Two and a half years ago I was diagnosed with chronic autoimmune hepatitis by accident.  My only symptom was fatigue.  I had to go on high dose steroids and another drug for a while now I am only on a very small dose of one of them, (but I do think I am cured).  At the same time I read David's Sweet Poison book and have been off sugar since then with only the odd slip up.  I really do believe not having sugar has made my recovery remarkable.  My liver specialist says I am his healthiest patient.  I also had aches and pain and tried running before going off sugar but I was racked with pain after three months of trying.  I am 60 now and can run 5 kms three times a week with no pain.  I feel great, healthy and have my lowest cholesterol ever, eating full fat products as David suggests.  I have always been a baker and eaten far too much sugar but I don't even miss it now.
