    Hi Everyone,

I have been on an off sugar for a number of years now. I know I feel better but with my job taking up so much of my time, I find it hard to go sugar free all the time and end up going back to the easy convenience of take away food and or packaged goods.

After reading David's new book EAT REAL FOOD, I am sure this is the right way to go.

The one thing I struggle with is lunches. I take my lunch from home but usually it is just a sandwich as, I only have my desk to eat at. While we do have a microwave, the boys in the warehouse leave this in such a state that I am sure you would get sick if you put anything in it. So does anyone have any idea's on what to have for lunch that is sugar free?

Also, I have been trying to find a menu plan that is sugar free, something easy to follow, something like the weight watchers menu plan. Any idea's?

The only people to feed in the family is me and my husband.

Is this also the best place for forum discussions, I noticed some of the topics have not been used for sometime?

    Thanks

    Fiona

Your sweet craving should have diminished long ago. If you are still craving sugar you must be taking in too much fructose. I  suggest keeping a log of your fructose intake for 2 weeks. Measure everything you eat or drink and use the tables in SPQP to calculate it. Max. 10g per day.

The two significant criteria are that you feel full at every meal and your weight is stable and appropriate for your height.[ BMI<25]. Are these true for you?

Perhaps stress of other emotional problems are weakening your resolve? If so, check out The Sedona Method or see a counsellor.

There are lots of healthy alternatives which are no doubt listed in the new book. We have sandwiches, soups, tinned fish, left-overs etc. Re the microwave, the radiation will probably kill the bugs :-)  And e.g. you could use a thermos for soup   I'm sure you have enough creativity to work out what's best. Just keep asking yourself "How can I  . . . . . . . . ?"

Google "sugar (or fructose) free menu plan"; you'll get 13,700,000 hits, which should keep you busy for a while.

I read yesterday that ghee is lactose free. And by all accounts, delicious. It may suit your partner.
