I'm a SAHM and a blogger at www.perfectmummom.com. I have four kids, including new twins. I'm only a few kg from my pre-twins weight, but 13kg from my pre-1st baby weight. Living in the North West - so somewhat limited with shopping options.

Just finished reading Eat Real Food - front to back in a few days. Started today, I'm almost 24 hours in. I am very very addicted to sugar and have been since a teenager (just turned 40). My husband started 10 days ago - so we are doing this together.

I tried Sarah Wilson's program last year and managed 6 weeks of no sugar. But then I tried the Fast Diet in week 7 and screwed it all up. Not this time. This time with hubby on board, we are in for life.

Good on you!  Whatever else you do, DON'T give up!

In ERF  there is an excellent chapter near he end on coping with withdrawal symptoms.

And remember, this is NOT  a diet . . .  it is a new way of life :-)

And it is so good that you are doing it together. You can support each other, both in your own journeys, but in teaching the kids . . .  no mixed messages from different parents.

    Do keep us posted :-)

Thanks for your reply John. Much appreciated. 10 days in and all good so far! I got Jess Lomas' book Low Sugar No Sugar from the Library and made her Wagon Wheel Slice. That is one amazing recipe. The kids went nuts for it.
