Hi everyone, I just joined having been able to be mainly fructose free for the last 2 weeks. I wanted to ask if I should be giving up diet drinks? Will they be slowing down the end of my cravings because I still find I'm having to use incredible will power to resist sweet foods!

Does anyone else have my problem? I hope someone can help...this is my last resort for weight loss and general health. Frances

    The criteria are very simple:

    1. Avoid buying any food containing more than 2% 'sugars"; 5% for yogurt.
    2. Avoid low-fat food unless it meets the above criteria.
    3. Weigh yourself regularly, and measure your waist (max 94cm for men and 80? for women). Check that it remains more or less constant at an appropriate level.
    4. Check your BMI [ kg/m2 ] regularly and see that it doesn't exceed 25.

Apart from that, eat what you like when you like as long as it contains little or no fructose.
