How Much Sugar?

I have been a sweet tooth my entire life… and I would be totally embarrassed to tell you just how much sugar I had been consuming lately.  Recently been though a stressful time, and chocolate and energy drinks were my best friend.

I am only on day 2 of going sugar free… so far so good.  I heard about David's book 18 months ago, but never believed that I could give up the sugar, I just LOVED it so much.

But I have been plagued with increasing health problems for which the medical profession has no answers.  Despite having loads of hypothyroid systems, and the worse hormonal problems imaginable, my blood test continually come back in the normal range (for Australia anyway, not for the US).  And so doctors say they can do nothing to help me.

Giving up sugar is my last hope.  I seriously don't know what else to do, and I know that I have WAY too much of the stuff.  I would love to hear from people who have improved their health as a result of quitting the sugar.

    thanks in advance

Day 13 today, and I am really surprised at how I have had virtually no withdrawal.  From the amount of sugar I was consuming (and my usual luck), I would have expected horrendous withdrawals.  I have had a few cravings, but on the whole they haven't been too bad at all.  I tried drinking coke zero once, just for something sweet, but it was absolutely horrible (maybe cause I don't even like regular coke much).  The biggest thing I miss is fruit juice and chocolate.

My health feels no better as yet.  But early days yet I guess.
