    G'DayDavid,

I would like to see some broasd guides on what to eat and not to..not so much brand specific but...

FOR EXAMPLE; Coz I dont know...

Vegemite is good; Peanut Butter is bad. Carrots are good - Apples not so good.

    Hope that makes sense.

The guides so far are great

    Thanks Tony

Good idea Tony ... sort of the 30,000 foot guide to what to eat ... I'll get on it.

    Hi David

I agree with Tony re a broader guide.  However, if this is going to prove to be too hard, maybe just an outline of what you and your family eat on a day to day basis, say for a week or so.  On another note, and I'm not sure if it's my computer or not, but I have been unable to print the muesli bar sugar guide.  It keeps coming up with "a drawing error occurred".  All the other ones have printed with no problems. Hope you can shed some light.  Keep up the fantastic work.

    Cheers  Steph

    Steph,

I'll get to work on a broader guide or even more of a typical eating plan (what we eat would probably bore you rigid, but I'll post something about it anyway).  In the meantime, I've tried to replicate the error you're getting to no avail.  I'll email you a word document version which you should be able to print.  Let me know how you go.

    Cheers

    David.

    Hi

Not sure if this is the right section for this but none of the others seem appropriate.  I have a query about peanut butter.  I have a jar of commercialy made peanut butter which has 6g of sugar per 100g and the ingredients are peanuts (92% minimum) vegetable oil and salt.  On the other hand the jar I have which is made by a local guy (I live in NZ) using Aussie peanuts has 4.1g of sugar per 100g and the ingredients are peanuts and salt.  Why the difference??  Surely it couldn't be the vegetable oil ..... or could it??

Also I was wondering if chickpeas are high in fructose??  Have some that I bought in bulk so no nutritional label.

    Cheers Steph

    Steph,

All nuts have sugar ... but at very low levels and often more than compensated by fibre.  Peanut Butter varies between about 3g/100 and 7g/100 ... the only thing you have to watch is that they haven't added sugar.

Chickpeas (dried?) are about 4.8g per 100 which is not bad especially when you take into account the almost 8g per 100 of fibre ...

    Cheers

    David.

    Peter,

No problems with Rice - its the sauce you put on it that can be a problem!

Re eating - good thought - I'll throw something together and try to get it up on the site in the next day or two.

    Cheers

    David.
