    Hi David,

Would love to see a guide listing acceptable commercial condiments.

    Hi All,

'Newbie' here. I'm just wondering if said guide ever eventuated?

I'm interested in hearing the verdict on things like Vegemite, Philadelphia, Diet Coke (not only sugar content, but whether they're any better alternatives to the sugar version/s)?

    Thanks in advance,
    Nicole

    Hi

Not sure if this is the right section for this but none of the others seem appropriate.  I have a query about peanut butter.  I have a jar of commercialy made peanut butter which has 6g of sugar per 100g and the ingredients are peanuts (92% minimum) vegetable oil and salt.  On the other hand the jar I have which is made by a local guy (I live in NZ) using Aussie peanuts has 4.1g of sugar per 100g and the ingredients are peanuts and salt.  Why the difference??  Surely it couldn't be the vegetable oil ..... or could it??

Also I was wondering if chickpeas are high in fructose??  Have some that I bought in bulk so no nutritional label.

    Cheers Steph

Greg Cooke wrote: Peanut paste is no good for you the way peanuts are grown is bad they pour chemical straight into the root system. Vegetable oil is no good for you as well the only oil you should eat is Australian Virgin Olive Oil  and Coconut oil YES that is right coconut oil great stuff use it to cook with, bath in, use as a moisturizer for body and face use sparingly on the face, can be too oily but sparingly wonderful put a couple of drops of lavender in it, I also make my own tooth paste using coconut oil happy to share recipe, if you don't believe me google coconut oil.

I have just signed up for this and am finding it a little sparse.  The Peter Fitzsimons piece on TV last night showed him eating bacon, eggs, and sausages and losing weight.  After trawling through this website, I have gleaned sufficient info on cereals, yoghurt, sauces, bread, vegetables and fruit but I would like some information on dairy products, meats and nuts.  Do we have to wait for the next book or should the answers be here somewhere??

Not sure what you are after Jennifer. Plain nuts = no sugar, plain meats = no sugar, plain full fat dairy = no ADDED sugar, contains naturally occurring lactose...
