I need some suggestions to get me through that late evening time when I'm normally huddled under my blankey consuming a large mug of hot milo.  What are my alternatives now?

someone did post on the free forum a clone of milo http://sweetpoison.myfreeforum.org/ftopic1973-0.php, I'm yet to try it but was never a big milo fan.  You can easily make your own hot chocolate just by adding cocoa powder and dextrose into some milk.

Get some good cocoa (you deserve it)
    European brands are usually good.

Microwave nearly one mugful of whole milk in a jug till boiling.  In your mug, put a tablespoon of cream, 1 teaspoon of cocoa and 1 teaspoon of dextrose, and mix thoroughly while the milk is heating.  Pour in the milk and stir - yum!

Adjust the amounts to suit yourself.

True chocolate devotees have their hot chocolate made with half milk half cream....

Thanks so much, that is exactly what I needed.  Will try it tonight.  Where do I buy this 'good' cocoa?

Probably your supermarket!  Alongside the other hot chocolate products. I'm talking about pure cocoa, check the ingredients.

I've seen some good cocoa in a health food shop at Mrs Flannerys (tasted so much better then noral cocoa like Cadbury's) in Brisbane or you could even check the health food isle at your supermarket.  You want one that's organic with no other additives or anything else.

I have discovered Crio Bru http://www.criobru.com.au/ - it's delicious and contains no sugar or fat. It is pure cocoa beans that you brew like coffee but tastes amazing. For more information check out their website.
