Sorry for this question as it is probably stupid to you but what was said about gravy and oils?

I have canola oil and olive oil and I know I can use olive oil but wasn't sure about any of the other oils, they don't have any or barely any sugar in them.  Im also a bit confused with the the spreads I have canola spread and other margarines but remember David saying only use butter but I wasn't sure why when these don't contain any sugar in them.

Gravy same thing - is it just if there is 3g/100g sugar in the nutritional guides of everything or just sugars that are in the ingredients list?

Thanks in advanced, im pretty clueless and afraid to start doing it wrong lol

Sugar is the main event, but there's a whole different story around canola oils, etc.  They cause cancer.  'Big Fat Lies' is the only book that covers this in detail, and he's working on a quit plan book that covers avoiding the oils.  Just use butter.  Your body needs the fats in butter.  I eat heaps of butter now and I am under 86 kg, so it doesn't cause weight gain, so long as your portions are sensible ( once your appetite control kicks in, that takes care of itself )

Olive oil is great.  I cook in it, every day, pretty much.
