Can anyone recommend a fructose-free, nut-free recipe for muesli bars?  One that kids will actually eat?  My kids (most kids?) can't take anything with nuts to school as an allergy precaution.  I'm wondering if cocoa is the solution ...

In the sugar guide section, there is another recipe section which may have some ideas for you. The recipe section in the discussion area is for members to contribute ideas. I personally think that there should be one area for recipes. Headings for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner ideas, and then snack and dessert ideas. All the recipes seem to be sweet treats, and I think that more emphasis should be placed on the tasty way of eating whole foods than replacing sugar laden sweets with other sweets.

Thanks, Jennifer.  I've just been over to where I think you mean on the website and, while there's a sugar guide to commercial muesli bars, I can't see any recipes for muesli bars.  I am looking for a nut-free, sugar-free recipe to make my own muesli bars.

Thanks again.  That's a good start, especially as I can substitute fake peanut butter made from sunflower seeds for the real thing and keep it nut-free.
