    Hi all,

I was very interested in making the ice cream for both my son and myself so I purchased a Cuisinart ice cream maker at Kitchen Antics.  It was on special for about $99 and has a three year warranty.  I have only used it once but it did a fantastic job of making the ice cream it was absolutely beautiful.

    Hi,

I have been making my own ice cream for ages now since I purchased my $50 Sunbeam Ice Cream Maker and have never looked back.  I have tried the various Sweet Poison recipes except the chocolate one as chocolate of any kind doesn’t agree with me. I also the tried recipes in the booklet that came with the Ice Cream Maker and all turned out well, one of them being fresh strawberry ice cream and one mango ice cream from fresh mango which were both delicious. These days I stay with the Old Fashioned Vanilla Ice Cream recipe as it works just as well and economical and don’t have to figure out what to do with the egg whites that are left over. All good healthy ingredients minus all those additives and chemical used in commercial ice cream making. I now cook and puree fresh Strawberries when in season and place the mixture into Ice block containers then turn out into a container and freeze them and melt down one of these blocks and have it with my Ice Cream as a topping.

Your fellow traveler on this path of a sugar free journey,

    Lyn
