I've been off fructose for 18 months now and it's been great - I'm lucky that I never had bad withdrawals and on the rare occasions that I eat a little sugar it doesn't bother me (eg someone's birthday). I've lost all the weight I could have hoped for (now i fit into clothes from my pre-baby days, and he's 27 years old!)
So the other day I thought I would have a gin and tonic, something that I once adored. I was so disappointed, it tasted sweet and sticky and just yucky. I must be truly readjusted now! So I had a glass of red wine instead, happy to be so much healthier, slimmer, fitter and generally feeling great.
