I recently became aware that milk as 12.5g/100ml sugar. I appreciate that this is Lactose sugar. Is milk okay to drink?

Hi Peggy,
That is strange, I have full cream milk all the time, and it is only 4.6 grams/100ml sugar (all lactose which is ok).  What brand is it?

I think that might be 12.5 per 250g serving!
Yes Peggy, full cream milk is fine to drink, and, as you say, the sugar is all lactose, which is fine.

the milk in my fridge is raw milk, so i find it very very easy to drink it :D

well, we do have to protect those big dairy companies ;)

if you live in the right area, know the right people (or want to pay big $ for Cleopatra's bath milk, which comes from my area  here), you can get raw milk. I live in a dairy producing area, so there's quite a few dairy farms here, including 2 organic. Unfortunately, thanks to the low handedness of Coles and Woolies with their unfair pricing policy, and the stupidity and greed of the farmers in the co-op selling out a few years ago, quite a few dairies have closed down.
