I don't drink tea and coffee but do like Jarrah Hot Chocolatte for a treat.  It says 2g sugar per 100ml but in the ingredients it lists glucose solids and not sugar.  Is this okay on the fructose free diet.  I'm a little bit confused with it all!  Thanks

    Hi,

Looks ok, except it has aspartame (951) David says your call to use them (sweet poison quit plan book, page 170)
Here is a bit more on sweetners, http://www.fedupwithfoodadditives.info/factsheets/Factsugarfree.htm

Making hot chocolate is very easy and cheaper than the prepared stuff. Just a teaspoon or so of cocoa powder (if you want to justify drinking it, buy raw stuff from the organic store as it's healthier) and about a quarter a teaspoon of dextrose. Heat the milk, add a little bit to mix the powder and then the rest of the milk. Much yummier :)

Bron, just to let you know your detailed advice worked for me. I was using waaay too much cocoa. I find it quite nice, and as an alternative to coffee, last thing, with a small piece of cheese, as I find if I go to bed hungry, I keep on waking up, feeling, well, hungry, I guess!
    So thanks for the info.

That's my chuckle for the morning, Bron....It's 5.52am on Monday & I've been awake since 4am, so decided to get up & look at the e-mails.  I'm also having (a very early) brekky, I usually don't eat until about 10am-ish, but being awake for all that time, my tummy is hungry, so 2 eggs a little cheese & the last 2 mushrooms in the fridge, yummy, with a cup of tea, (trying to give up the coffee) having a ball, & trying to eat slowly. I keep on telling my DB that he eats way too fast. I'm getting old & so are my teeth, so eating slowly sometimes is forced on me. But my tip to feeling less hungry is to eat food that you have to chew, & make sure you let one mouthful get well down before you have another!!  Less tummy problems and you will feel 'fuller' for longer.

Was it a big imposition to have that cup of cocoa? Did your body think it was bed-time?  hehe....
Your son learned the Sylvia lesson in a big way, eh?  He appears to have done exactly as I did....lucky Mummy, another cuppa cocoa.

On Happy Days, lap them up, Bron....
