I've been reading up on this. If you have IBS, or Fructose Malabsorption, this is the thing for you to look up. This is the link for a download of a booklet from Monash Uni, it lists foods to avoid, & foods you can have.  If you, like me suffered from diarrhoea, bloating & similar (I've had it for years, but my symptoms didn't fit with IBS) you could have Fructose Malabsorption.

    Here's the link here :- http://www.med.monash.edu.au/ehcs...docs/booklet-final-order-form.pdf

Believe it or not, I got the info from a link in the Taste.com site!!  I was not a little bit surprised to find this info there. Maybe my complaints have been working!!     lol

    Here's the link on Taste.com :-http://www.taste.com.au/news+features/articles/2752/low+fodmaps+diet

Here's another good site, if you have questions Here:-

It seems that the old enemy FRUCTOSE has at last been recognised for the bad thing it is. Now all we have to do is convince our health professionals, in government and beyond, so everyone is aware.

There are breath tests you can have done to find out the exact cause of your symptoms. Makes fascinating reading, link here:-

Good luck with it all.  I know that my symptoms have been alleviated by cutting out fructose, but I do now & then still have diarrhoea, bloating etc, now I'll be able to track it down with this booklet.

The only bad thing about it is that the booklet costs $10.00 plus $5.95  Postage & Handling....but worth it if it works. Not sure about the costs for the tests. here is some info out there but it's usually by IBS affected people who have just 'tweaked' their intake & had results, not much official.
