My mother in law drinks prune juice to help with consitpation and I was wondering if anyone new of an alternative as I am assuming (havn't checked the label) that it has lots of sugar in it. What could she use as a substitute?

    Thanks

I'm not sure how much fructose are in plums but aren't they what prunes are?  Although they aren't in season.

Pear juice I've heard is good for constipation, so perhaps whole pears?

When I first went fructose free I wasn't as good as I usually was in the toilet department so I've changed to all wholemeal products and have unprocessed bran on my porridge.

Things that make me "go" are artificial sweeteners and chillies!

Believe it or not  - lots of water and Vitamin C - start with 1000mg and double the dose if nothing is happening.
Tried and tested and also google if you need more information.
