Well that's been me too - until the last couple of days. I guess when I really thought about it and considered exactly what I'd been eating over the past week it was not as good as it could have been.  Over the last 2-3 day I can honestly say I've really stuck to it - the hardest part is no sugar or honey on my rolled oats - a chopped apple or pear cooked in with the oats is (almost) as good.   I also have tried to have my biggest meal for lunch and not for dinner. I also have been drinking a lot of water.  I keep a cup in the bathroom and when I wash my hands I have a drink - of course you need to be near a bathroom most of the day.  Stay strong - it will happen but youve got to do more than read the info and try it a little bit - it's all or nothing.

    Hi Tracey,

There is different factors at play when loosing weight.  It depends on how much you need to loose firstly, when you get down to the last 10kgs that's when things start to slow down.  Also some people find it easy and other can struggle.  I will admit I did struggle to begin with, but it's all about finding that balance, finding what works for you and your life style.  I also think that carbs can play another big part in it.  Some people like myself find they cannot eat too many carbs otherwise it plays havoc in weightloss.  I haven't cut out carbs completely, I just limit to what I have in 1 day and fill myself up more on protein and fats.  What would your normal typical daily food be?

Hi Tracey, week one and my husband lost 1.2kg and I GAINED 400g! WT?   I know I am doing everything I possibly can, and altho I'm gutted I know that everyone is affected differently and my time will eventually come!  I just need to hang in there and think of the other benefits of it meantime and not be so focussed on the weight loss.  I hope you can stick at it too. All the best. Chelle

I found I had to cut out bread too. Sounds tough but it had to be. One slice was never enough and 4 or 5 toasted cheese & tomato on thick sourdough, but no sugar of course, and the weight piled on. No bread/no sugar and every thing came true for me. No cravings, no hunger, weight loss and feeling great. One friend found out that for her it was milk and bread was fine. Whatever the addiction is. Hope this helps.

Hmmm. David I think you're right.  It's all very well to say just cut out sugar but the other things need to be watched too - to a certain extent.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and support even though the scales have said I have put on weight I still feel better. For Breaky I have porridge with raspberries and then lunch of a sandwich ( I am not hungry until then so no snacks) and sometimes some nuts for arvo tea or sometimes nothing depending if I am hungry or not. Then dinner, steak, salad homemade chips. Anyway this is new the feeling of actully feeling full is cool.

Doesn't seem fair does it!!!  But don't see this as a diet, see it as a lifestyle.  The changes will happen but it might take longer than a week or two, and be more permanent.  Good luck.
