    hi everyone,
    I've just started to read Sweet poison and I know it is probably covered later in the book but what are the thoughts towards beer/wine/spirits?? I want to get started asap and this has me a little confused

    from a fructose perspective its fine, for spirits just watch the mixer your using like coke/lemonade.  I like vodka with mineral water and a splash of lemon juice.  Wine your better off going for reds or a dry white (after being sugar free for so long I actually prefer dry whites and reds now).  I believe beer is also fine.  The fermentation process kills off the fructose. I'm cutting down on both alcohol and diet drinks as I think it's playing havoc with my weightloss.

    you can also cross off nearly all liqueurs off your list too as most of them have added sugar.  General rule of thumb, if it tastes sweet more then likely it's got some trace of fructose left.
