    Most sushi rolls are under 3g per 100g of sugar so you should be fine .. the only ones I'd be careful of would be teriyaki and sweet chilli flavours (and anything that mentions honey ... eg Honey Soy).

    Is it best to avoid any sushi rolls with mayonnaise on them?  I figured there would be sugar in it.

    Most Japanese mayonaises don't have any sugar (or other carbs) in them.  I learnt this when doing Atkins.  Apart from whole egg mayo, they are the only suagr free (or almost sugar free) mayo.  The only thing is that the most common one does have MSG in it.
