David. I have been on glyconutrient supplements for the past 6 years and after being half way through your book I am a bit worried.  Have you heard of glyconutrients?  They say there are certain sugars we need for cell communication so our immune system will be stronger.  I don't know whether these supplements I've been taking are made from the bad fructose or from the good glucose.  Do you know anything about glyconutrients?

According to this 2008 review of the evidence, there isn't any good reason to take glyconutrients.  http://glycob.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/18/9/652

From a fructose perspective, depending on the brand, they vary from harmless to sugar-like ... personally I wouldn't take them.  There doesn't appear to be any creidble evidence which supports a claim of enhancing the immune system and if your brand contains fructose then there's a good chance it is in fact degarding the immune system.

    Cheers

    David.
