    Hi,
Which camp is dried fruit in?  My thought is that being just fruit with some water removed it should be just as almost as good as fresh fruit.  But as you can eat more dried fruit than fresh fruit perhaps it is just as bad as munching on sugar.  If it is bad, would it be ok if you only ate as much dried fruit as you would eat fresh, ie only eat as many rasins as you would eat grapes?

The trouble is that the water gives the food a lot of bulk and that bulk is appetite suppressing (along with the fibre) ... 1 of those small boxes of sultanas we casually drop into a kid's lunch box contains 1 kg of grapes --- now if you drank a litre of water at the same time as eating the little box of grapes I guess, you're getting close to equivelent ... but wouldn't it be better just to skip the sultanas (and the grapes) altogether?

    Cheers

    David.
