It's a sugar replacement, made from fruit, contains fructose, yet doesn't raise blood sugar so is ok for diabetics and hypoglycaemics, and has no calories (?)

Does anyone know whether this is ok?   I couldn't find reference to it in the book (unless it goes by another name?)

Lara .. that's a tricky one ... its a new sweetener made from the skin of Monk Fruit - and it is vaguely related to Stevia ... unlike Stevia, there is very little published research on either its toxity or metabolism (except a few rat studies done in China in 2008) ... if you're inclined that way, its probably best to stick to something like Stevia ...

    Cheers

    David.
