    Hi David,

I am currently preparing to go as sugar free as I possibly can and am looking into the sugar content of strawberries and blueberries.

According to your graph, blueberries have a lower sugar content and greater fibre content
than strawberries. I have read your suggested daily "limits" and was trying to work them into my daily "allowance". I came across the "calorie king's" dietary info which indicates blueberries have 8.1g sugar/1.4g fibre per 75g and strawberries 2.0g sugar/1.0g fibre per 75g.

Is there another website that you are aware of that can tell me the sugar content of foods, ones that don't have labels?

I really want to get start but want to make sure I am actually detoxing from sugar and not just cutting it back.

If anyone has some useful feedback, it would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Lisa

Lisa ... the data for Berries on that chart come from the excellent Fineli database (which collects together alot of the reference material on fruit and vegetables.  I also cross referenced it to the USDA's standard food components database as a cross-check.

Here's the Fineli data for strawberries http://www.fineli.fi/food.php?foodid=447&lang=en

and here's the one for blueberries http://www.fineli.fi/food.php?foodid=442&lang=en

I like them because they are one of the few data sources which break the sugars down into glucose, fructose and sucrose.

    Cheers

    David.
