    Hello Peoples,
I just found all of the above at Giganis - for those that dont know them - they are a large continental import company that retail to Public, all sort of foods, nuts seeds, flours etc and I found these safe sugars allavailable there today.  They are situated on South Road near Grange road.

Just in case your not sure where to get this stuff.

    Cheers
    Sharon

*grin* I was going to ask the same, but I figured odds were low you were in Tassie, either way....

My odds were she was in Brisbane, Christian, so I was dead wrong...never mind Sharon...you'll be through it soon....keep on being positive & you'll get there....remember, break your big goal down into little goals...5 kilos by Xmas, say...and 15 by Easter next year...easier on the emotional side of things, smaller goals....

In the end, weight loss is all about self love, IMO...learn to love yourself, and relax, the weight will fall away....as the reason for hanging on to it is no longer valid....

    Love
    Sylvia xx

    And, don't forget to SMILE

A lot of people actually asked me my goal weight, and I never had one.  I am middle aged, very married, and while I care what I look like, I'm not out to impress anyone.  I just wanted to be healthy, and I figured if I eat right, my body will decide what I should weigh.  That's really why I'm comfortable with all this, I'm not plucking a number out of the air and starving myself trying to get there, I eat well, eat until I am full, feel satisfied, and maintain a pleasant weight.  I have more energy and sleep better, but I'm not taking any extra effort to drop another jeans size, because I feel that if I eat well, the size I get, is the size I should be.

I love this philosphy - and it has worked for me.  I started going off fructose at Easter last year, having already lost 9 kilos slowly by going to the gym and being careful about food in a general way.  Partly this was made possible by having no kids at school any more so no more afternoon tea! But it was always hard to stay away from treats.

I didn't have a goal weight either, just a determination to see this as a permanent way of life.  Now i find I have lost another 9 kilos and for the first time in 33 years i can get into my wedding dress! (Ok so i can only zip it up 3/4 of the way.) I have lots of energy and am loving life.

Now i have no trouble avoiding treats, i can eat "as much as I want" of the right food, but am eating definitely less, no snacks at all.  I tried a dessert the other night and it made me feel sick.

I feel great!  I sincerely hope this happens for you too, and everyone else on this list.

    Hello Sharon,

From my understanding, I would think twice before I classified Corn Syrup as safe.

Brian, it depends.  Glucose syrup typically comes from corn, it's a chemical process that turns it in to high fructose corn syrup, which is clearly bad.
