Glucose syrup, powder and Corn syrup

    Hi Brian,
    Yeah - I did check on the corn syrup, David has two lists of safe sugars - one on here - and one as an app - they contradict each other on the matter or con syrup - I checked with him- he says there was an error and that in fact corn syrup is safe..

    The one I found states - 0% hi fructose corn syrup - but when i popped my pinkie on the lid...it sure tates sweet,  and I use that as my indicator - if it tastes sweet - it probably has some fructose I reckon - it is the dark corn syrup and I was hoping to use as a golden syrup/brown sugar substitute - but I will live without at least until I am not so hanging out for sugar....

    It tastes sweet b/c it's glucose, which is the other half of sugar, the same stuff that I buy as a powder ( dextrose ) and use for cooking.
