Hi, I've only just come across Norbu, also. Seems that it is fructose free although it is derived from monk fruit. But I'd like to have this verified before I buy it. I am trying to wean myself off Equal but I don't like Stevia at all. I just like some sweetness in coffee... Does anyone know whether Norbu is ok??

It looks OK - http://norbusweetener.com.au/faq/  Or if you want to get technical about it: http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/fcn/gras_notices/grn000301.pdf

Must try it as I don't find Stevia very satisfying. Splenda is my favourite sweetener but I have Devil's Doubt about whether or not it is bad for me.

Just in passing the former "nasties"  like Equal,  have switched to "your call" ingredients like aspartame.

The theory is that we lose our taste for sweet things when our appetite-control system goes back to normal. But I  must say that I find coffee without a sweetener unpalatable.

    Hi,

I bought the Norbu as I found the Stevia was too sweet and left an aftertaste similar to artificial sweeteners.  It is granulated and looks similar to raw sugar.  It's not very sweet to taste but it does add a little flavour to bland brekkie cereals.  Would like to try and find in larger quantity than the teaspoon sticks to try in baking.

I bought some Norbu tablets (200 for $7.99) to use in coffee, from Woolworths. They also had granulated Norbu for baking, and sticks as well. Try your local Woolies?
