Hi team. Great discovery of 100% sugar free (zero!) Mayo. Product is called "KEWPIE MAYONNAISE". Japanese mayo made in Thailand under license. 300 gram weird soft plastic bottle. You should be able to find it in the Asian foods section of supermarkets. I love it - especially with my non sugar pallette now. A complete sauce replacement for me (except for low sugar soy).

    All the best,
    Noel

Checking it out on the internet, it seems it contains MSG.  So if alergic to MSG it would not be suitable, but fructose wise it is great.

what about making your own mayo? I don't like to eat dairy so I'm going to make my own vegan mayo which is really just oil, salt, soy/rice milk and a bit of mustard. Can substitute dextrose for sugar as I don't like my mayo very sweet. There's lots of recipes on the net. :)

    Hi Noel,

Which supermrket did you get the sugar free mayo, I have searched Coles and IGA but have not tried Woolies yet.  Can get to an Aldi by travelling a bit.

    Thanks for any info

    Cheers Margaret

    Hi everyone

I buy THOMY mayo and it only has 1.1gm/100 sugar so I think this is fine.  It's the only one I have every used and I love it.
    cheers

Hi Margaret, we get ours from Bi-Lo but I imagine you should be able to purchase it most places (our IGA do stock it). Look in the Asian foods sections. Aldi will certainly not have it so don't bother. Noel

I found another interesting article on About.com, for those of you who are new & still trying to get used to looking at labels....link here:

    http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/whattoeat/a/sugars.htm

If you aren't sure what the different types sugars are, just put them into Google, ie 'What is agave syrup?'

There's another option, one that I've already been buying for several years just because we like it so much: It's Norganic Golden Soya Mayonnaise, 1% sugar.  I buy it at Foodland (in SA, they are franchised so not all stock the same things though), and I've also seen it in health food shops.  It comes in a glass jar, and it's yummy!

Hi, Sandra, not sure on a soy mayonnaise, after reading all about soy. Is there any blurb on the label about how the soy is extracted? If it's extracted in the traditional method, then soy is ok, but these days, it's mostly extracted the Western way, which is not good for you.  There's lots of research about it on the net.  Maybe 'cos Norganic is organic (is it?) it's ok. Look them up on the net, they should have all the ingredients & etc, and if it's ok they will certainly want to advertise the fact, I guess....
