This product comes in those little containers comprising four separate tubs each containing 40g.
It's a mixture of cream cheese (13%) and cottage cheese (67%) and contains 4.7% fat (3.3% saturated) and 4.8% sugars. The only ingredient which looks anything like sugar is maltodextrin and this makes David's OK list. Presumably the sugar is lactose.

That sounds great, John, I love cream cheese, but haven't had any for ages. Will try it next shopping trip.

    Hello John
Actually this is not ok. David recommends avoiding at all cost, anything "light" or "fat free" as he says they don't know what the process of making something low fat, or fat free does to the body.

He recommends all full fat products as it's not fat that makes us put on weight, but fructose.

    cheers

    Signing In: Confused:

Does this mean I should be purchasing the Philadelphia full fat cream cheese in the normal tub? Does this have sugar in it?

The product itself is fine but David recommends full fat, so instead you can by the full fat spreadable cream cheese.  As Fedra said they don't know what the process of making something low fat, or fat free does to the body and David mentions in the book low fat products tend to increase the bad cholestrol.  I love my cream cheese and I usually buy the Aldi version which is full fat.  Remember to check labels especially ones with flavours.

I'm four weeks sugar free but I'm still confused about what I can and can't eat. I thought JALNA Biodynamic Fat Free youghurt - 0/0% sugar was okay. Can anybody explain please?

    Hello Carmel and welcome.
As in the previous discussions, nothing low fat or fat free is ok. We should all be eating full fat products. I buy the Jalna Biodynamic Full cream milk yoghurt and not only is it a lovely products, but when our appetite control kicks in, which varies from person to person, we don't overeat the product because the fat tells us when to stop eating.

I assume you have read David's books, it's all explained in there.

    cheers

Hi, Freda, I've decided I want to try a yoghurt, is that one sugar free?
Hi, Janelle, I was at Aldi yesterday, didn't look extensively, but couldn't find one that was sugar free. there were a lot of people around the dairy cabinet! I do remember you saying that you got one from Aldi, can you tell me the actual name of it. I also could have bought (in Woollies)  3 punnets of strawberries for $5........sigh.......should have look further, I guess.....was running out of shopping steam by then !!

Yeah they do.  I get my yoghurt from Aldi all the time, their greek yoghurt is great although it doesn't last long in my fridge :) Not sure exactly what the brand is I think it's Dairy Bliss about 380g for about $2.69.  Be careful though because they have 2 types, one is no sugar and the other is normal.  There is a label on it that says no sugar.  The no sugar one though does have artificial sweeteners in them.  You can actually browse their products online http://www.smartershopping.com.au/?WT.z_src=main.  Their greek yoghurt is Lyttos 1kg for $4.69.

Hi - on the subject of yoghurt I have been buying one from Woolworths.  Jalna Greek Style yoghurt.  It also comes in handy little 200g pots which are very good to take to work.  I like the tartness of the natural greek yoghurt.  They also do a biodynamic yoghurt as well, havent tried that one.  Maybe next shopping expedition.
