    Hey guys,

I am desperate to know if freshly squeezed fruit juice with added soluble fiber (eg pectin or psyllium) is better for you than just plain fruit juice in terms of fructose quantity. I am in the middle of a major university assignment and need to know asap. Any suggestions?

    Cheers

I'm not a scientist, but it seems to me that the amount of fructose would be unchanged by the addition of soluble fibre.

I'd like  David's opinion on this. My fantasy is that if you squeeze the fruit and then put back all the extracted fibre before drinking it, you are back to where you started . . .  one of your two-pieces-a-day with fibre ameliorating the effect of the fructose. BTW isn't this what a FRAPPE is? Blended whole fruit? Of course you'd need to avoid squeezing several pieces of fruit in the process.
