I have been buying and cooking the 'deliciously free' brand of chocolate mud cake for my daughter for school lunchbox treats ( with hidden purred carrot and pumpkin of course!) for some time, because it is so tasty, and the whole family loves it... Looking at the label again now that I am looking through 'fructose free' eyes, and I note that it is less than 0.1g fructose per 100g. Yippee!!
The number 1 ingredient is sugar, so I'm not sure what they use to sweeten it, but for a packet cake that is nut free, wheat free, gluten free, and dairy free....and low in fructose. It is actually really nice.... And good for a special occasion.... I get it from the health food section in Coles, I think it's around the $5 mark

Sorry but the number 1 ingredient is sugar and the product itself 66.2g total sugar per 100g and sugar being 50% fructose your getting 33.1g fructose per 100g so not very good at all.  Why not make your own chocolate cake?

It was too good to be true wasn't it!
And just goes to show how misleading the packaging it... It states less that 0.2g fructose per 100g.... But fails to mention the 30 % that goes half way to make up the sugar!
And yes, your right, I could make my own... I was just excited to beleive I could keep something in my diet that I already have and enjoy..... And if it seems to good to be true.... It probably is!

yes packaging can be quite misleading those companies can be quite tricky and one of my favourites is when they say no added cane sugar, but the first ingredient is raw sugar or organic sugar lol.
