Hi there, Ive just started the sugar free detox, but im abit confused should i be eating absolutely no sugar at all, for example no fruit or sourdough bread. Or is there a daily gram limit in the detox period? I havent been consuming any artificially sweetners just the sugars in non processed foods like vegies, fruits, water crackers, cheese etc. Any help would be great. thankyou

    Hi,
I don't have my books with me, but I think David recommends no more than 10 grams per day, about the amount of fructose in 2 pieces of fruit.

What you're doing is exactly what I just finished a month of. (I included losing bread) Basically nothing from a packet except for raw nuts and it worked like a charm. Working like a charm meant having to tie myself to the mast for three weeks but in a way I found the miseries and the endless weird cravings inspirational. They made me feel like it was all going to work out because there was so much drama going on around anything with Cadburys, Lindt or Patisserie written on it. And after a bit less than a month no hunger, no cravings, and a noticeable weight loss. I think you're doing great and boy oh boy would I stick with it.

I had the same question.  For me it is the confusion between dextrose being OK but then the Quit Plan book saying not to use it in the withdrawal phase - so I am wondering whether you can use the things on the "good" list of sugars or not.
