I wonder how many of these Anonymous posts are from lots of people or just a few?

I don't know anything about the keto diet but from what I see online it doesn't sound like it's good for you. And if you want to lose weight just (more or less) eliminate fructose from your diet. As David says in one of his books "Eat what you like and when you like, as long as you avoid fructose".

From what I have read of it, it is the Atkins diet revamped.
Atkins never promoted using sugar, but it did fat like bacon and eggs for example, and cutting back on carbohydrates.
People did lose weight on this but I don't know anyone who continued.
To see if you were burning off fat you would test your urine for ketones. When the litmus paper turned purple you were losing weight.
The thing is you don't hae to BUY special foods like the Keto diet recommends.
You need David to say if he approves of this, but in the meantime read up on Atkins.

As David says, the fat in your diet doesn't matter. When your appetite-control system is working properly you will not want to eat more fat (or anything else) than your body requires at that time. You can, of course, override your appetite-control system, e.g. with "comfort food". But that would be a psychological problem which would need counselling to resolve. As long as you keep fructose to a minimum you will not be able to eat more than you need.

I don't need to read up on Atkins as my weight is under control and I feel satiated at every meal.

Don't overlook the fact that the Keto diet is a network. You use it and sign up others.
The younger generation would not have heard of Atkins but their mother's would have if they were into weight loss.

I'll change that to grandmother's if users are in their 20's, not mothers.
