i have have been off sugar for 5 weeks  but still could eat it at the drop of a hat, i can control myself but what should i do when i want a sweet for the moment? I haven't put on weight but i haven't lost any either and i'm starting to wonder if i will. I don't have a lot to lose but would like to lose some for my efforts. Can anyone give me some encouragement please?!! How will i know when i have kicked the habit and what is the longest it will take? i am scared it won't happen for me

    Hello Emily,

Just read your post and I have been off sugar now since the beginning of August and felt exactly the same as you and felt I was eating all the time and this continued until just lately (four weeks now) and have found that I am not craving big meals now so feel I am at the turning point. As your post was dated some time ago I hope by now you have passed the cravings line.

    Best of luck

    Margaret

Hi Emily, I can't give any great words of wisdom as I have only started today, but keep going.  The hardest part is done, by following the advise of this new eating plan.  Good luck as I'm sure you will be just fine.
