How Much Sugar?

No weight loss

    My name is Jeremy and I a 37 y.o. male.  I am reasonably physically active, although I have a very sedentary job.

    I quit sugar about 6 weeks ago, and I have definitely broken the addiction.  I no longer crave sugar or sweet foods, and I can look at a case of cakes or chocolates and not have any reaction (a new experience for me).

    However, despite breaking the sugar addiction, my appetite is still rampant, and whilst maintaining my weight for a few weeks, it is now creeping up.  I am being very careful not to eat sugar and am making sure that any processed foods have minimal sugar content.  Overall, I am much happier for quitting sugar, but I am annoyed that after 6 weeks, I have gained rather than lost weight.

    Has anyone else had similar experiences?  Can anyone offer suggestions?
