I started my fructose free journey back in October 2010, so I'm about up to around 3months. I have been on the free forum for quite sometime but though it was time to join this website to get the best benefits and to pass along as many tips as possible. Like everyone I did struggle at first to being with. I lost the first 1.9kgs relatively easily, however I did end up putting that on and a little more. I realised although I was not eating quite as much as I was before my appetite control still wasn't quite functioning properlly and was eating too many calories. I have my main meals, breaky, lunch and dinner but I started eating morning and afternoon tea again. I started calorie counting for a good while now and although I'm not physically counting calories, I am still watching what I have (like if I have a big dinner or speical occasion coming up I'll eat a light breaky and lunch etc). Since that change I started loosing weight again. Not only myself but my family has seen good benefits from this change so far and I'm happy to know my kids will benefit from it too. Total so far I've lost 3kgs and it's basically stayed off which I'm pleased about. I do workout every day, and as a present for xmas for myself (had it on the toy xmas layby for 6 months lol) a wii with the wii fit plus and I'm quite enjoying it and it tracks my weightloss etc. I'm also quite a cook (well hope I am anyway), and I love cooking and I've been making up all sorts of special dextrose treats for afternoon tea when I go out. I've posted heaps of recipes on the free forum for dextrose substitutes and I have so many more! Hope to see you all around the forums :)
