    Hi Everyone,

I started my sugar free journey one week ago (officially). Unofficially, the week before when I cleaned out my pantry.

I would love to lose about 20kg. Looking at me, I don't look obese (just plump/fat around the middle really) as I am quite tall, but 20 would get me back to my pre-children days. I only put on the weight prior to falling pregnant with miss 9. New relationship, only working part time, eating chocolate (we are both chocoholics), and watching movies, helped me pile on 20kg in 6 months. Shocking really.

Anyway, the whole family are now going sugar free - my boys 23, 21 and 17 will probably eat sugar when they are not home - none of them enjoy chocolate or lollies, but the incidental sugar like sauces etc.

My girls (9 and 7)  are happy to come along for the ride, although I won't be as strict with them for some time until they can learn to say no for themselves. ie they can still enjoy party stuff whilst at a party and a small treat once in a while, but at home they will be sugar free.

Hubby lost 1.1kg in 6 days, and I lost exactly 1kg in a week. I am so happy. I was certain I would be one of the ones that took months to kick start the weight loss. We even did that with takeaway at least 3 times (as we were out for a couple of full days and it was easier - same old excuses..lol)

Anyway, looking forward to checking back regularly and trying more of the "sweet" recipes.

    Karen

Way to  go. I wish  my sister would get on  the bandwagon  with  her kids, it would be so  good for them. I can't beleive how easy it is.
