How Much Sugar?

Back in the 1960s I read "This slimming business" by Dr. Yudkin and tried his eating method. I lost weight easily but soon bounced back after nine months or so when I returned to my old ways of eating.
Reading David's book has made me see why I have been a yo yo dieter all these years. My mistake has been cutting all carbohydrates as well as sugar. This made me long to finish the diet and get back to "normal" once I had reached my ideal weight.
I'm so glad I came across David's book, it has literally changed my attitude to eating and I am no longer waiting desperately for the next meal. (or to go back to a "normal" way of eating) I find that I eat when I am hungry and stop when I am full. Breakfast has now become a joy, yes you do get fed up with bacon and eggs every day! I now eat a multigrain bread or a low sugar cereal and find that I don't automatically reach for the biscuits between meals.
I have been eating this way for five weeks and to my amazement, have lost five kilograms.
It's so good to read all your so positive comments, thank you all and David.

    That's fantastic Freda!

I, too, have enjoyed weight loss of 4kgs in 4 weeks just by eliminating fructose. It's so good to eat whatever I want (fructose-free foods of course) and not feel hungry in between meals. I notice that if I do snack, mainly out of habit, I don't feel like eating the next meal.

Several years ago I lost weight by following Atkins, but it all piled back on again once I started eating 'normally' again. Having carbohydrates in the diet definitely helps.

Look forward to hearing your progress.
