That's the way, Carol, ask your hubby to please eat it away from you, if at all possible. This will show him how determined you are this time. My partner is a 'feeder' , and I had to take a stand with him, so I put his arms round me & asked him if he liked the slimmer me, he said 'yes, of course' so I said, well, if you keep offering me sugary stuff & serving me heaps of bread & potatos, I'll be back to fat Sylv before you know it, don't you want me to get slimmer?' He thought about it & said 'of course I want you to lose weight", I then gave him a big hug & kiss, and he's been pretty good since then. Be nice & appeal to the best part of him, if necessary, be a bit 'Mother' to son thingy, if you get my drift. Give it a bit of thought & you'll know what to say.
Have watched your posts, am very proud of you, it's hard, but we all know, you can do it. One thing I would recommend, try to find something to do that absorbs you, even for a couple of hours, if possible, so you aren't thinking 'food' 24/7. I'm lucky (?) that way, I can amuse myself on the computer for hours & I sometimes forget to eat. I started in Sept 2010, and am eating smaller portions, & only really get a bit of craving if I'm bored. Usually for bread, or just more food to stuff into my mouth. So far I've lost 8.2 kilos, 30 odd to go!.
I had the pleasure of my partner's brother staying with us for 3 days. Sunday, they went for the papers, came back with bread rolls & cakes, & I was presented with a neenish tart, an ex- favourite of mine, so I said, thanks very much, but I can't eat it, as I had some dessert (way too much) last night and this will take me way over for the 24 hours.
So he ate it himself. I am trying to get the message over to him about sugar, but he's quite slim & doesn't see the bad in it. He lost weight after his girlfriend did the dirty on him & they broke up, and is only now putting it back on. Still, no excuse in my book to pig out like that. On his last morning, I made them 2-egg cheese/mushroom omelettes, but he had to have a vegemite/cheese roll as well, so that meant Kev had to have one as well. (Too much carbs for him.) As well, he had bought himself the biggest doughnut I've ever seen & ate that too!! Shocked!!!
Well, good luck with it all, there is lots of support for you here, and on the other forum, the Sweet Poison one.
