Hi, my doctor actually introduced me to David's book, the quit plan one, and i found it on the shelf at Big W!! Loved reading it, and decided to go sugar free. I am almost 2 weeks in, and have lost 1.4kg. I am experiencing some withdrawal symptoms, fuzzy headache, constantly wanting to eat, thirsty, a few mood swings and a few "flashes" of wanting to eat somthing sugary. I am a diabetic and have 50kg to get rid of, and am really into positive thinking, so i just know that the extra weight is just going to "melt" away from me. I guess i went abit crazy the first week, eating things like chips, cheese, butter, and all those things i have been told were to be avoided, stopped buying lowfat stuff (yay, love full fat milk!!). I made pancakes last sunday for breakfast (no sugar) and had banana or berries with cream on, they were so yummy, and stopped at only 2! this week i have been more sensible, and have seen the benifits on the scales (yay) My whole family has decided to join me (my husband and 18 year old daughter) and even our boarder, tho my boarder asked me the other day.....when do you plan on eating sugar again......i said ......never!!! She is a vegetarian, so we have been eating alot of vegetarian meals as well (not complaining, they are yummy). So really enjoying this journey, despite the headache, and i have just joined up this group and look forward to reding everyones stories, getting to know people on the same track, and perhaps helping others as well. LOL I love telling people about David's book, i just hope I don;t go overboard!! hahahah :)
