Hi everyone,
I'm a new member and I look forward to learning and sharing with the group. This entry is basically my introduction.
About 8 weeks ago, I read Sweet Poison and it answered so many questions for me ..... this book was the cataylst for me to change certain elements of my life. In a nut-shell :
- I turned 50 years young last week
- 12 months ago I offically became a Type 2 Diabetic ( mild 7.2 reading for my last 3 annual check-ups )
- I have always maintained an average fitness level
- I didnt have a sweet tooth, I had Sweet Teeth !! pural !!
- for the last 3 years my average weight was 92kgs : always "over weight" on the BMI scales
After reading Sweet Poison I said "it's time" so I made some changes, mainly to my diet.
Today, I am 76 kgs, I am never hungry, I have no cravings, I am "Normal in BMI terms", my average Blood Sugars is 5.2, I feel great
So, here I am. I could have gone into detail, but I didnt want to bore anyone. I am happy to share more, if anyone is interested. Just ask.
