How Much Sugar?

Elderly People Who Eat Nothing But Sweets

I would like to know if there has been any research gone into why some elderly people (I really don't know the percentage) will eat only sweets, cakes, lollies, ice-cream et cetera. Does the sugar take over their brain?!

It seems an elderly person can live for years on sweets.

I know one elderly gentleman who survived on cooked apples and custard for years. Even the smell of vegetables cooking made him heave. There was no way he could eat anything but sweets.

Some of these elderly people have told me they simply cannot eat normal food. They try but it makes them heave.

If no research has been done in this area I think it needs to be carried out.

I would be very happy to hear if anyone has any stories or information that can add to this topic of elderly people.
