Hi all, after watching David on 60 minutes here in NZ just over a week ago, we decided to give it a go!

we are both only slightly overweight but I have been a weight watchers member since 2006 (my weight loss graph is a very scary looking thing – up then down, then up, then down again!) My husband has never found a diet or healthy eating plan he believed in enough to try...until now.

Everything he reads out loud from ‘the good book’ as we call it, makes total sense!  So, we both went cold turkey and cut out all sugar starting from Tuesday last week (Monday just seemed too hard haha)

It’s only been a week, but we have both noticed a huge difference, no more sweet cravings and we just don’t seem to get hungry.  (It’s great to get home from work and not have to rush into making tea because we are not starving like we use to be). Our love handles are definitely shrinking woohoo!  All the food tastes different too, we now notice how sweet broccoli and asparagus actually tastes.  The first few nights we ended up throwing half our meals away because we were just not as hungry as usual.  I even have way more willpower than I had before; I have said no to a lot of cakes, I just don’t feel like them. There was no way I could do that before!

Our plan is to give it a few more weeks without sugar then buy a dextrose cook book so we can have some sweet treats in the house for when friends pop in for a cuppa or we just feel like a treat without undoing our good work.

So for us, it’s been nothing but good results so far!  I can’t wait to see what other benefits come out of it.

You don't need willpower - what you need is what you already have. . .  a change of lifestyle :-)

I'm not sure which "Good Book" you refer to. But if it is SP, I suggest you also get SP-Quit-Plan.  Both available from www.fispond.com.au as eBooks if that interests you.

When you have "digested" them (pun intended!), get hold of Big Fat Lies, David's latest book on diets, supplements and polyunsaturated fats. You can "hear all about it" on Radio national tonight at 8pm AEDST

Hi there - I too am from New Zealand and have brought the latest book of Davids. (Big Fat Lies )  I saw a article on the internet and decided to look into it further.   Wow David sure makes a lot of sense.  I have done all the diets around and thought if one was just the greatest -then why are all these other diets coming out as with all the exercise stuff. Ab circle pro is a example (now there is a better model).  So will read Davids book and give it my best shot.  Want to get "The sweet poison quit Plan"  So here goes.
