Ok, we are suppose to stay away from seed oils and seeds. I suppose that includes the flaxseed, that is really so good for you...and the LSA mix?? Christian????

Almost certainly.  It's just another oil made from seeds.  All the seed oils are meant to be good for you, all for the same (mistaken) reasons.  Olive and avocado, or animal fats, that's about it.

oh my, I didn't phrase that very well. I don't mean liquid oil, I mean the ground up flaxseed that you can add to smoothies and porridge, etc and the ground up LSA mix. Coconut oil is suppose to be better even than olive. Have you heard of that one?

The thing with coconut oil, is that it's not that common to buy.  I'm happy to use olive oil.

Ground up flax seed, I am not sure.  It's another example where you could well be eating a lot.  What would you use it for ?

I mostly put a teaspoon of it in my porridge every morning....with those dates. *grin* I switch between 100% flaxseed and the LSA.

OK - so I assume you do it for a health benefit ? It appears to have no sugar, so knock yourself out if you want, my opinion is that it's no different to vitamin tablets - it just gives you more expensive urine.

    Hello Sandy
Flax seed is the only seed and oil that David says is ok. Have a look at the chart towards the end of the Big Fat Lies book, I'm not sure what page as I am overseas at the moment.
Also, flax seed is great fiber too, and I have it sometimes in scrambled eggs, nice nutty flavour, just a teaspoon, freshly ground tastes the best. Don't know about the soy in LSA, though.
We use coconut oil for frying also duck fat oil, especially on roast potatoes. Olive oil for salad dressings.
    cheers
    Freda
