Can someone tell me if I have this correct.
If I want work out the fructose in a food and it is not in one of David' lists.
I look at the sugars (under the CHO on the panel ) then half it and that is the grams of fructose in that food e.g
Rice Cracker snacks from Aldi /100g
    CHO:   82.4
    Sugar: 3.0
So there are 1.5g / 100g of fructose in this product.
Do I work out all other foods this way if I  know the CHO and sugars /100g

    Hello Elaine
you don't need to work out the fructose, just keep the sugar in any product below 3% (or 3grams per 100grams) and you will be ok.
    Erm...........what is CHO?
    cheers

Hi Freda thanks for your post, that seems to make it very simple. I will try doing that. I am very new at this, I only started on Sunday. My diet has been reasonably low in sugar as I have had type 1 diabetes for 36 years and sofar the withdrawal symptoms have not been too bad.
    CHO stands for carbohydrate.

Hi Elaine, yes, it is very simple. Congratulations on taking the sugar free way. I do keep my carbs very low actually, lots of veggies, good organic meats and dairy.
    Good luck for the future
    cheers
