Julie Pastore wrote:Hi Everyone,
I've just joined, and am into my 4th week of "no sugar". I was completely and utterly addicted to sugar (chocolate mostly) before and am surprised that I've gotten this far, and am very proud of myself. But I am feeling really tired. I am sleepy and don't have much energy. I would love to get stuck into a block of chocolate, but my willpower seems to have gotten stronger over these last 4 weeks, and so the desire just comes and goes, which is good as I'm not acting on it. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on being tired? Does it have anything to do with still wanting/needing to eat sugar?
Thanks,
Julie.
Hi Julie and welcome
whenever I need a chocolate hit, which is usually mid afternoon, I have an unsweetened cocoa made with organic cacao...........(any good health food shop)............. with full cream milk and even sometimes a little cream added too. This gives me the serotonin hit I sometimes crave, which comes from chocolate. I could only do this after I had lost the desire to eat sugary stuff.
So, as your desire for sugar seems to be all but gone..........maybe give this a try...........you never know, it may just do the trick!!!
And well done for coming so far, good luck with the future, you won't regret your decision.
