John Neilson wrote:I recently found a sugar-free drinking chocolate, sweetened with natvia which is a variant of stevia, which is OK I believe.. The brand is "Vitarium"  and I bought it in Woolworths for about $5 for 200g. It is also gluten/nut/wheat/egg/yeast/gmo -free if any of that interests you :-)

Sugar content 0.10% fat 1.21%. No nasty sweeteners or artificial colours or flavours.

Ingredients are: natvia, cocoa (10%), emulsifier (soy lechitin), salt.

Actually they have quite a range of similar products: http://www.vitarium.com.au/vitarium-products.html

It doesn't taste all that wonderful, but it IS sugar-free.

    Enjoy!

I've been having this to and find it really chocolatey - my kids like the strawberry one to as they often had strawberry quick as a treat after tea. It's a good sweet fix if you need it after eating :)

    Hi Miriam and all

I also used to do Weight Watchers and have not been overweight for around 3 years (I weigh around 50kgs but not sure of exact weight as my scales need new batteries and are giving dodgy readings)  When WW changed to the pro points system and made all fruit no points I started eating way too much fruit, around 8 pieces per day which is why I startred to put weight back on.  Since going fructose free around 5 weeks ago the weight has fallen off and I am feeling great.  As I said I need to get my scales sorted out and then I will know exactly how much I do weigh.

I got off pretty easily with the withdrawal as I didn't eat a lot of sugary things, although I did find I had started to crave and eat much more of them as my fruit intake increased.  It's so true what David says about the sugar making you want more.

I also struggle with the fact that fats are ok to eat, having been told to avoid them all my life.  I usually have a hand full of nuts for morning tea and a half an avocado on two corn thins for afternoon tea.  I eat a lot of homemade soups in the winter and salads with eggs or meat in the summer for lunch so I guess I was already kind of on the right track before reading the books.

I am so glad I read the books as I am feeling great and am happy I have gotten the extra weight off.  I am very short so I can't carry any extra weight.  So glad to have found other people to chat with too who are also taking this journey.

    Hi Jane,

I loved reading your Post. I agree with everything you said.

I have also done Weight Watchers on and off over the years. I also ate way too much fruit when the new Pro Points system made them Points Free and I was hungry all the time.

I lost weight on Weight Watchers but put it all back on when I stopped.

I have been Sugar Free for 3 & 1/2 weeks now. I don't think I have lost any weight as yet. The battery in my scales is low and not reading correctly. I don't want to weigh myself as I don't want to be upset if I'm not losing. I am so over the whole "Diet Thing" and being obsessed with the scales. I am in this for the long haul so will just wait and see what happens.

I am not craving Sugar now but I am very hungry at times during the day I will have a snack of nuts or cheese or have a cup of tea. I think I am eating a lot of food each day at the moment.

I haven't tried using Dextrose Powder yet.

It's great to have this Forum to catch up and see what every-one is doing and see all the new questions that are asked.

PS I bought the Vitarium Drinking Chocolate but haven't tried it yet.

ALSO IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL TO HAVE A SEARCH KEY TO FIND PARTICULAR SUBJECTS.

I was looking for something the other day and it took me ages to read throught the posts till I found it.

    Cheers

    Miriam

    Thanks John,

I bought the Vitarium No Sugar Drinking Chocolate at Safeway (Woolworths). It's a real winner.
