Well after finally getting through the 48 pages of posts (I, like others who have mentioned it, agree a search function would be handy :) I see, interestingly that no one has mentioned bran! I used to eat all bran but (prior to Sweet Poison) realised how much sugar it had and switched to homebrand processed bran. I like the crunchiness of the little sticks and find it's the best way for me to get fibre into my diet as I mix it with oats for breakfast. However since reading Sweet Poison I se how much sugar it has! I have been to may a health food shop searching for bran without sugar but even the 'best' ones have prune juice in them. I then realised, is it because it needs something to hold it together and keep its shape? I found unprocessed bran which is just flakes - is this what I should eat instead?
Thanks,
Sarah
