    Hi all

I have been reading some back posts and notice that olive oil may not be ideal for cooking.  I have not read "Big Fat Lies" as yet, only the two Sweet Poison books.  I am wondering if you can use butter in cooking instead of oil.  I am talking about for high heat cooking like a stir fry (without any sauce of course!)

    Hello Jane
Olive oil turns into a trans fatty acid when heated so is not advisable. We use coconut oil for stir fries. But any animal fat is great.............lard, beef fat, duck fat and butter is great for omlettes and I also fry onions in it. I do use sauces in stir fry, but ones I make up myself with Kikooman Soy sauce, rice wine and any other additive that has virtually no sugar in it.
    Have fun!!!

    cheers
