    Hi there

I have noticed that there are some vegetables that are not mentioned in the vegetable guide and I wonder how they rate as I am a huge vegetable fan and I would hate to think I was eating the worst ones!  What about capsicum both red and green and squash.  Also how about fresh herbs like coriander, dill, parsley etc.

you might find this website handy http://www.foodstandards.gov.au/consumerinformation/nuttab2010/nuttab2010onlinesearchabledatabase/onlineversion.cfm type in what you want to search and you can then find out how much fructose things contain.  They have changed their information a bit... sugars are broken down into 3 groups fructose, glucose and sucrose.  Keep in mind sucrose is half fructose and half glucose so you will need to half the sucrose figure and add it to the fructose figure. Capsicum has 1.1g fructose per 100g.  Squash has 1.55g per 100g and parsley has 0.25g per 100g (not that I would imagine anyone in the world would eat so much parsley maybe in a tabouli salad).  Most vegetables are fine and they are very low fructose.

Thanks Janelle, I have been looking for this link for awhile. I must have seen it awhile ago but didn't take note of it and then couldn't remember the name of the site. It's a great site.
