I'n now on day 3 but I'm not having ANY withdrawal symptoms! I am gradually reducing my artificial sweeteners so hopefullyat the end of the next 2 weeks, I will be totally sugar free! Am I supposed to not feel withdrawal symptoms until I totally give up the artificial stuff? I soooo want to get this right, so I need some advice asap. Thank you in advance (hopefully).

    Hi Angela,

This probably isn't very helpful but everyone is different so it may just be that you're lucky enough not to feel the withdrawal as severely as others. I myself didn't feel much, although if I go back and eat sugar now I feel nauseated and have a cracking headache.

As long as you’re sure you have eliminated all but about 10 grams of Fructose per day you can’t really go wrong. It may be that you’re still getting some somewhere such as sauce or dressings or some other sneaky sugar filled food and that’s delaying the withdrawal. Otherwise be happy you’re not suffering J

I wouldn’t stress too much about the artificial sweeteners delaying withdrawal, David himself used them to help him pass the withdrawal stage and he seems to know what he’s on about. ;)

Also, remember that the whole sugar free thing isn’t strictly ‘sugar free’ its ‘fructose free’. Dextrose is still sugar and it’s allowed so if you need some sweet treats baked up to help you through then go ahead!

Thanks Sam. I really appreciate your response. I was thinking I was blowing it and I DEFINATELY wasn't bragging about lack of symptoms, I was more afraid because I wasn't having them that I was mucking it all up. Hopefully, I will carry on like this :)))), chances are, I won't though but that's ok too.
